Agus Arís is a print, design & stationery studio based in Westport Co. Mayo focused on reuse, recycling & responsible consumption.

Our books seek to reimagine and redefine everyday objects in an uncomplicated, educational and sustainable manner that offers understanding, repair and the means of production to each customer.

née badly made books

Agus Arís was born as badly made books in 2015 and has lived many lives, from a bedroom business & market stalls at the Dublin Flea, through many years in Cork at 1 Friar St (pictured here - illustration by Badly Made Bai) in Cork City and also Togher.

Now based in Westport, Co. Mayo Agus Arís is the if-I-knew-then-what-I-know-now version of the business that takes ten years of book-making, bookselling and contintual note-taking to inform a new approach, an evolution of the concepts behind the first draft combined with the experience of actually doing the job for a decade.

This idea of trying again is built into each notebook, pages are not bound and linear instead loose leaf paper is help inside the book with an elastic loop which mean pages are free to be removed if unwanted, replaced
